Nayomi and Matthew’s Historic DeKalb Courthouse Wedding in Atlanta, Georgia, was the perfect mix of romance and intimacy! These two are high school sweethearts who first met in middle school, though their love story didn’t begin until high school. At first, Nayomi wasn’t too sure about Matthew—but now, she can’t imagine life without him!
There’s something so special about capturing the love between two people who have grown up together, experiencing life’s different stages side by side. Photographing Nayomi and Matthew’s wedding day felt like witnessing a love that’s been years in the making, and it was such a joy to document every moment of their celebration!
Nayomi and Matthew’s intimate Atlanta wedding was the definition of timeless and elegance. The Historic Dekalb Courthouse was the perfect venue, with it’s stunning architectural details—arched marble alcoves, intricate moldings, and towering columns. It’s neutral tones provided a naturally beautiful backdrop, while the baby’s breath floral installations on either side of the ceremony arch added the perfect minimalist touch to the already beautiful setting.
The couple chose to do an aisle reveal, and Matthew was emotional as he watched Nayomi walk down the aisle, arm in arm with her father. One of the sweetest (and funniest) moments of the day? Nayomi and Matthew accidentally forgot their wedding bands and ended up borrowing their parents’ rings for the ceremony! At the end of it all, they were just so excited to be marrying each other, and that’s truly what matters most.
After their ceremony, we stepped outside for portraits in front of the Historic DerKalb Courthouse and along the sidewalk. Just like the interior, the courthouses exterior is equally stunning and served as the perfect backdrop for their portraits.
Nayomi wore a gorgeous veil with custom embroidery that read “N & M” alongside a Bible verse from Song of Songs 1:2—a beautiful tribute to their faith and love for Jesus. It was such a meaningful and personal detail that made their day even more special!
After portraits outside, we headed back in for Nayomi and Matthew’s Historic DeKalb Courthouse wedding reception. The space was beautifully transformed from their ceremony setup into an elegant and romantic reception. Long banquet tables were decorated with glowing candles, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that felt both minimal and intentional. The soft candlelight flickering against the stunning architecture felt so cozy! It was truly the perfect setting to celebrate their love with their closest family and friends, and Nayomi and Matthew ended the night with the cutest bubble exit!

“My husband and I are not at all used to being center of attention or taking professional photos but Brianna made us feel so comfortable and confident. The photos were absolutely stunning! I love her style because she caught so many candid moments that I forgot about. She was a dream to work with. Thank you!”
