Claudia and Travis’ Northern Oregon Coast elopement at Nehalem Bay State Park was nothing short of cinematic, editorial, romantic, and playful. These two first crossed paths during their freshman year of college. Travis grew up in Seattle, and Claudia called San Diego home. They both attended college in Washington and even studied aboard together in Australia. After six years together, an intimate Northern Oregon Coast elopement felt like the perfect way to celebrate their love!
When I asked Claudia and Travis where they envisioned their wedding, they said Nehalem Bay State Park in Manzanita, Oregon. They were drawn to the sand dunes and beach grass, and decided on a little before sunset for their photos. Most of their adventures, big or small, center around experiencing life and creating memories together—so an intimate elopement was the perfect choice!
One of my favorite questions to ask my couples is how they want to feel when they look back at their photos in 20 years. Claudia and Travis told me they wanted their images to take them right back to the feelings of their day. To feel like it really captured who they were at that time in their lives, and all of the love they have for each other from those first six years. Honestly? I think we nailed it, because just looking back through their gallery has me in my feels!
One moment that stands out to me is when they were standing at the top of the hill in the beach grass. I prompted them to share a couple of qualities they love most about each other. Right away, they both said “Oh my goodness I don’t want to start crying“. It was such a beautiful, raw moment, and I feel so lucky to have captured it for them!
Claudia and Travis chose to add film to their Northern Oregon Coast elopement, and I can’t resist showcasing a few of the stunning film shots we captured! Film is such a timeless medium. It has a way of pulling you right back into the moment and creates portraits that feel even more intentional and meaningful.

“We hired Brianna to shoot our Oregon coast elopement. It is so obvious that she loves what she does, and cares about making a memorable and comfortable experience for the couples she works with. Neither of us have had professional photos and were nervous, but the two hours flew by because we were having so much fun! It felt like a walk with an old friend, a comfort that was completely unexpected.
I can literally feel the same warmth and energy as I did on the day just by looking at these photos. We are so grateful for this experience and to have these memories captured.”
