Riannan and Aaron’s Madonna Inn wedding in California was purely stunning. If I had a few words to describe this day, it would be vintage-inspired, documentary, and cinematic. When I asked them how they want to feel 20 years from now when they look back at their wedding photos, they said they want to feel nostalgic, romantic, and joy-filled, as if they were watching their favorite vintage movie. I think we nailed the vision, and their choice of the Madonna Inn as their wedding venue was perfect!
This day was captured on a mix of digital and film! Make sure to check out the film photos from this day towards the end of the blog!
Ri and Aaron got ready separately at the Madonna Inn. Ri’s look screamed classic 1940’s-1950’s old Hollywood with a bold red lip to match. Her hair and makeup were done by Vintage Vixen Vanity, and she wore a beautiful dress from Folklore Dress Studio . Madonna Inn has the most beautiful spaces that really give those vintage vibes, which made for the perfect backdrop for their wedding.
After getting ready, Ri and Aaron shared their first look out in the Secret Garden. It had been raining all day and stopped right when we wanted to do their first look outside. It was such a romantic location to share their first look together and get a few portraits outdoors!
After their first look, we then headed back into the Madonna Inn for their ceremony. They chose to hold their ceremony on The Main Dance Floor. This space has beautiful red chandeliers, hardwood flooring, a cascading staircase, and even a beautiful piano. They had a beautiful ceremony surrounded by their loved ones, and afterwards, we took more portraits around the venue.
After their indoor ceremony and portraits, we then headed to the Garden Room for their wedding reception, which is a banquet room with high wooden ceilings, beautiful garden murals, and chandeliers. The space was beautifully decorated with pinks and reds, and the overall theme was perfect for what Ri and Aaron were going for. From their vintage inspired cake, Polaroids, and pink and red heart-shaped named cards. It was overall so romantic and nostalgic feeling.
After the cake cutting, we then snuck away to their room at the Madonna Inn for some sexy after-party portraits! When I asked them how comfortable they were with PDA, Ri said she was VERY comfortable and was ready to get sexyyyy! So that’s exactly what we did with these photos! Take this as your sign that we can always get some fun and intimate portraits of you and your significant other on your wedding day!
One thing about me is I LOVE film. And adding film to Aaron and Ri’s vintage-inspired Madonna Inn wedding only made sense. The timeless medium of film perfectly matched how this day felt! You can also take these photos as a sign to add film onto your wedding package, too!
If you’re planning your own California wedding or Madonna Inn wedding, then I would love to hear from you! While I’m Las Vegas-based, California is right next door, and I LOVE to travel!
