Documentary & Editorial Elopement in Las Vegas, Nevada – Leila + Harold
Leila and Harold’s elopement in Las Vegas, Nevada was giving very Lana Del Ray and cinematic vibes! When Leila reached out to me, she told me she was inspired by the Lana Del Rey aesthetic, and really wanted to lean into the film vibe. She also wanted their photos to scream “young love” with the feeling of being free, fun and timeless. We started the day off with a documentary style and later into the night did some editorial shots with her dress change!
Back in January, I hosted a giveaway that Leila won! They received 35mm film, 120mm, polaroid’s, and super 8 as part of their session, and I’m so obsessed with the turn out!
Leila + Harold’s Caesars Palace Elopement Portraits
Something that’s so special about Leila and Harold’s love is that they first met in the third grade in the Philippine’s! They started dating when they were only 15 and have been together for nine years. Even after Harold came to the US at 18 for basic training as he was in the Navy, they stayed together braved the long distance! Leila recently was able to move to the US a a few weeks before they got married which is so special.
We started off at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas for portraits. It was the perfect backdrop for their photos as it truly is like a palace. It has beautiful architecture, grand staircases, and even stunning sculptures all around.
Leila + Harold’s Sure Thing Chapel Ceremony & Portraits
Harold and Leila chose Sure Thing Chapel for their ceremony. They had a small guest count who attended and it was short but so sweet and full of emotion. Afterwards we got some photos in the vintage analog photobooth, the bathroom, and over by their record player!
Hitting up The Slots & Fremont Street
Of course, hitting up the slots and Fremont Street is a must when you comes to Vegas! Night life in Vegas is so much fun, and really gives you a different vibe for your photos. It was so fun to get some editorial shots of these two and just watch them have the best time and soak in that “just married” feeling!
